A pair of classic Rennie Mackintosh Argyle design chairs, made by Freuds London, c 1980s. The original Argyle chairs were designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for the Cranston Argyle Street Tea Rooms, Glasgow in 1896. These are reproduction versions made in the 1980s by Freuds London for a boardroom in the City of London. They are no longer in production. In very good condition, chairs are structurally sound but with small splits to the head rest where the wood has flexed - see images. Upholstered seats in good used condition.
