A lovely example of a Thames Valley hoopback Windsor chair, possibly by the maker Robert Prior, c 1820. Made of yew, elm and ash wood, back splat with Prince of Wales Feathers and turned roundels to the tips. A very handsome and comfortable chair in good original condition. Structurally sound, but note the crack to the seat and signs of ancient woodworm to the arm support.

Dimensions: H113cm, H45cm (to seat), W59cm, D63cm.
